2nd. - That Mr Thomas W. Barrington has been in the Service of the Colony for years, months, and 29 Days; namely: from the 21st November 1864 to the 18th January, 1872.
3rd. That in the course of that Service he has been absent on leave on several occasions, at the dates and for the terms specified below, viz. :——

4th. That provision has been made for the due execution of Office during his absence, by Mr. Barringtons.

Period of Resident Service 4. Maximum amount of Leave authorized by Regulations in respect of the above period of Resident Service (viz., 4 of Resident Service + Six Months) 5. Leave on Half Salary already taken, since first arrival in the Colony 6. Leave now granted 7 Months.I hereby certify that Mr Barrington is at present in Hospital suffering from great debility. During the past year he has been four times in Hospital. He is at present quite unfit for duty and I consider leave of absence necessary for the re-establishment of his health.
